Grand Theft Auto IV

http://www.pcgame.com/grand-theft-auto-iv-patch/download
<![endif]-->Grand Theft Auto IV is Rockstar's biggest release following the success of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The PC version is played similarly to that on console. The gameplay features third-person view action with the main character making his way through a large open-world metropolis with single- and multiplayer gameplay options. In this installment of the franchise, the player takes on the role of Niko Bellic, an Eastern European veteran that has traveled to the United States in search of family, vengeance and pursuit of the American dream. Soon, however, he unfortunately lands himself in the center of an organized crime ring. The PC game originally featured minor problems for which the patch was created. Patch Improvements The patch for Grand Theft Auto IV fixes many glitches and bugs experienced in the standard game made for PC. The patch itself is only 32 megabytes, but it still manages to correct a number of problems related to graphics, gameplay and replay techniques. While the simple Grand Theft Auto IV patch is not extensive, those who play the game regularly will appreciate the improved effects. Graphical improvements include the effects of mirrors and shadows as well as a glitch causing trees to become transparent. The patch also improves another bug that caused the game to slow down when approaching water. It corrects a problem that prevented rendered videos from being uploaded to Social Club when certain music tracks were attached. For Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned, the patch allows a "detonate" option in custom key mapping, giving users the opportunity to remap the down arrow key. The simple patch features an array of improvements for those who had small problems running the game on PC. All in all, the patch is a minor one that allows for subtle changes. Minecraft

Minecraft is a game about breaking and placing blocks. At first, people built structures to protect against nocturnal monsters, but as the game grew players worked together to create wonderful, imaginative things.

It can also be about adventuring with friends or watching the sun rise over a blocky ocean. It’s pretty. Brave players battle terrible things in The Nether, which is more scary than pretty. You can also visit a land of mushrooms if it sounds more like your cup of tea.

You can buy Minecraft for PC/Mac here, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition and Minecraft: Xbox One Edition on the XBLA Marketplace, and Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta on the Microsoft Store, and Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition, Minecraft: Playstation 4 Edition, and Minecraft: Playstation Vita Edition on the Playstation Network. Minecraft: Pocket Edition is available for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and Amazon Kindle Fire.

http://en.battlestar-galactica.bigpoint.com/
Battlestar Galactica Online is a free 3D browser based Sci-Fi MMORPG based on the acclaimed Emmy and Peabody Award-winning television series Battlestar Galactica.

Set during the latter part of the show’s second season, the game takes the form of a previously untold chapter in which both the Colonial and Cylon fleets are stranded in an uncharted area of space. Heavily damaged and low on critical supplies, both fleets must fight for control of the resources in the nearby star systems as the Colonials desperately search for a way to escape before the Cylons regain enough strength to destroy them once and for all.

League of Legends now has a smartphone app

Sometimes you need to step away from the PC and get some fresh air, which is hard because then you can't play video games. Riot Games is aware of this conundrum and has worked to make it a bit easier, with the release of a special League of Legends smartphone application called League Friends.

You can't play League of Legends with it, but there are a bunch of other useful features for people who take the game seriously. You're able to chat with people in your LoL friend list, and you can receive push notifications when someone has invited you to join a game. That's a pretty small offering, but Riot plans to expand its functionality as time goes on, presumably (or hopefully) with all manner of esports related stats.

The app is now available in North America and Oceania, with other regions to follow shortly after. You'll need either iOS 8.3 or Android 4.1.1 (or newer iterations of these) to run it

Forge offers a simple way to capture and share gameplay video

Forge, a new, free app designed to simplify the process of capturing and sharing gameplay videos, went into open beta today. And even though it's still technically in a pre-release state, I've played with it a bit, and it really works quite well.

The best thing about Forge is that it's easy. It runs in the background, and automatically kicks into gear when a game starts. A popup reminding you of its existence will appear at startup, and after a few seconds it goes away and you get on with your business. Gameplay clips of five to 30 seconds be cut and saved with a simple slider bar, either while you're playing or after you've quit, and then shared through the Forge website, Facebook, Twitter, and/or blogs and websites as embedded HTML.

It's clearly not intended to compete with full-blown video creation and editing tools, but as a way to show off highlight moments—like my smooth Race the Sun moves—I honestly can't imagine a simpler system that doesn't involve controlling your PC via telepathy. Both Nvidia and Microsoft offer similar services in the form of the GeForce Experience beta's Share and Xbox app's DVR (neither of these alternatives support telepathy, either).

The only downside to Forge's automation is that games must be on the Forge master list in order to work with it, something I ran up against the first time I tried to show off my mad Race the Sun skills. But a quick note to the development team had it (and Dungelot) added and working within a couple of hours.

"Forge is currently compatible with more than 2,000 games, with more added daily,” the studio said. “We want to ensure a high quality experience across all of our supported games. If a user runs into a game that is not supported they can contact the team at help@forge.gg."

Forge is available now at forge.gg, where you may also peruse a pile of gameplay clips—including at least one of mine in which I don't vaporize myself against a wall ten seconds out of the gate.

The first Doom level has been recreated in Unreal Engine 4

While Doom is 23 years old this year, it's still a beautiful game. That hasn't stopped Unreal Engine 4 user captain_slow48 from recreating the game's first level, as a means to gain familiarity with the engine. As the images above and below attest, the first map in Doom's first episode still looks aesthetically pleasing, and it's mainly the lighting advancements that make it look prettier in 2016.

According to the creator, the aim was "to be as faithful to the original aesthetic as possible, while adding some more details to the scenery". See a selection of the images below, but for the full set click through the the Unreal Engine forum page here.

In case you've been hibernating for the past year or so, id Software's own Doom reboot is releasing this May. If you fancy a taste of the 13-hour singleplayer campaign, there's some spliced through this Conan O'Brien TV spot.

Fallout 4 Survival Mode changes leak

More information about the changes coming to Fallout 4's Survival Mode have appeared on Reddit, thanks to the datamining efforts of a user by the name of ShaneD35. According to what he's found, Survival Mode will ensure that you die sooner, faster, more often, and for more reasons than ever before.

Bethesda subsequently confirmed on Twitter that the findings are legit, though alas there's no word on when it will be ready to go live.
